Parked Angel is a life-saving device aimed at preventing deaths in a car due to both hypothermia (abnormally low body temperature) and hyperthermia (dangerously high body temperatures).
There are multiple news reports that document the number of our children and dogs who die annually due to hot car deaths (see links to these articles/reports in the news section). Parked Angel developed a better way to prevent hot car deaths from occurring, better than any other on the market today. The good news is that the same device has been designed to also prevent deaths due to the temperature being too cold inside the car as well.
A sensor installed under the carseat cannot detect if people or pets are in the car, unless they are strapped into the car seat. This type of sensor has two major problems, it is subject to human error and the consumer needs to install it. It may also become unreliable because it is subject to movement or be damaged by the various amounts of liquids a child spills or produces.
The device we have developed is not just a sensor and is not installed under the seat. It is primarily designed to be factory installed, eliminating the need for setup or installation by the consumer - and will have optional settings the consumer can setup in an associated app. However, it can also be configured to be setup as an aftermarket installation.
Our device has the potential to save every life -- human or pet, young or old, and in extreme temperatures (both hot or cold).
